IES CITIES is an R&D project under the co-financing of the European Commission Competitiveness and Innovation Program (CIP) between 2013 and 2015. The project aims to validate Internet-enabled services that citizens consume In the form of urban mobile applications. IES CITIES bases its development on an open platform where the applications obtain the information from Open Data of the administration, and that is enriched through the contributions of the citizens. GEKO NAVSAT, as partner of the consortium of companies formed to carry out the project, is involved in the definition of new services based on geolocation of information and in the development of the campaigns of tests carried out with end users.
