The promotion of the new Madrid-Rio environment that has changed the physiognomy and enjoyment of the banks of the Manzanares River as it passes through Madrid, has been reinforced by the organisation of a recreational activity that has invited users and visitors to the area to participate in a technological “treasure hunt” based on the use of GPS (Geocaching). During 6 months more than 2000 people enjoyed this activity, which, because of its global game nature, has allowed attracting a significant number of tourists to the area and bring the Madrid brand to different corners of the planet.
